As the first organisation to experience the benefits of the innovative personalised travel information pack, CEN has now committed to a new and exciting green travel plan and is continuing to experience the benefits!

We never thought sustainable transport could save us money, time, improve the environment and be so much fun. (feedback following the CEN cycle to work day and free breakfast)

As part of the organisation’s ethos to encourage sustainable travel, CEN now offers free cycle lessons, a tax free bike scheme, a subsidised bike workshop, public transport timetables and maps and interest free train and bus ticket loans.

To ensure the momentum of sustainable transport and to continue to confirm CEN’s commitment the organisation holds regular "cycle to work days". All that take part are offered a tax free breakfast, free raffle ticket and the satisfaction of taking some exercise! The bicycle user group holds regular meetings and a bike buddy scheme is now available to all staff.

The green travel plan has been met with enthusiasm and has received highly positive feedback "CEN's commitment has encouraged me to get on my bike, feel healthy, save money and reduce my personal impact on the environment" (Jaryn Bradford, Community Renewables Team)
