Advice Service Manager
London
- Salary: c. £50,000 p.a.

Funded by the Energy Saving Trust (EST) and
managed by Creative Environmental Networks (CEN), the Energy
Saving Trust Advice Service (ESTAS) works across the whole
London region. W're responsible for providing expert advice
to the general public, ensuring that they're well-informed
on energy efficiency, domestic renewables and sustainable
transport.
In this senior role, you’ll take responsibility
for the overall delivery of ESTAS across the capital. This
will mean overseeing its financial and programme management,
including risk and change management, and you'll make sure
we're meeting annual targets within set timescales and budgets.
In addition, your role will involve designing and delivering

at management level.

On behalf of the Energy Saving Trust, Creative
Environmental Networks manages the Energy Saving Trust Advice
Service for the whole of the London region. We are seeking
someone to work with our Operations Manager and take responsibility
for a range of management information and reporting functions
to deliver on the contractual requirements of the service.
We are looking for someone who is highly numerate
and has excellent analytical skills, experienced in compiling
and presenting reports and information in different formats
and for varying audiences. As the post holder will be required
to represent CEN at meetings both internally and with external
bodies you should be capable of dealing with a wide range
of people from different backgrounds and be capable of communicating
effectively both face-to-face and on the telephone, as well
as communicating clearly and appropriately in writing. Previous
experience of managing client and / or stakeholder expectations
would be an advantage, as would prior experience of working
within a multidisciplinary team.

Sustainable energy is an exciting emerging
area, critical to sustainable development and alleviating
the effects of climate change. CEN has established strong
partnerships with local and regional government organisations
across London and the South East, and as such is able to offer
candidates exciting opportunities to join our dynamic and
growing team.
You will be part of a vibrant project group,
promoting the sustainable energy policy agenda. This will
involve providing advice and support to our clients, such
as local authorities, regional government or private sector
developers. From the outset you will have significant client
exposure, working both with CEN and at our clients’
offices where you will develop close working relationships
as you support them to implement their sustainable energy
policies.
This presents a great opportunity to develop
your career in the sustainable energy sector and to influence
sustainable energy policy implementation. Although not a requirement,
knowledge of sustainable energy or policy would be an advantage.
A passion for the subject and a willingness to learn is, however,
essential.
