CEN's Public Sector Support Services include the following elements, which can be taken together to provide a comprehensive and cohesive solution to the local authority, or which can be tailored as required:
CEN works in partnership with local authorities, providing a suite of advice and consultancy services designed to enable decision makers to recognise and prioritise the many opportunities they each have for improving the efficiency of housing and community buildings, encouraging the use of renewable energy and addressing transport issues.
Local authorities play a key, influential role within the community. They are large local employers, social landlords and estate managers, and they are responsible for formulating and implementing strategies for planning, housing and transport infrastructure.
As a result, the opportunities for carbon reduction and social improvement are significant and these can be effectively realised when approached in a structured manner.
